linkedin designer = claude?

yup, today ill show you how

In partnership with

Last week Riya sent me an anxious text on LinkedIn. ‘Vaibhav…I need help with design

And then the same day…Ayush, Shreya and Mohit. A similar text.

Before you start wondering…these were students of our latest Growth School workshop cohort (the one where I teach LinkedIn Growth in 5 Days Using AI).

Coming back to the problem…

Riya’s insights about AI in fintech? Chef's kiss.

Ayush’s take on AI in education? Super-insightful.

But but but…their recent posts? Plain text walls.

Despite teaching these folks how to craft viral content using AI, half of them were struggling with the same thing…turning genius ideas into scroll-stopping visuals.

I had to give them something more. I was scrolling X (twitter) and stumbled upon a post that said:

What if I told you there's a way to combine Claude's brain with Canva's design power? (Yes, they actually talk to each other now).

It instantly clicked. I learnt it and shared it with Riya and others.

The result? Riya went from zero visual skills to creating Linkedin posts that got 7x more engagement. In a single day.

And yes, like always…I’ll teach you how to do it.

But before we dive into that, let's talk about what happened in AI this week...

AI that’s trending:

3 AI tools that made me stop scrolling:

1. HeadsUp.bot - Your Paranoid Competitor Stalker

Built by Dru Riley (the Trends.vc founder), HeadsUp monitors your competitors and tells you exactly what changed, why it matters, and what to do about it.

I tested it with Growth School's competitors and instead of getting useless "something changed" alerts, I got detailed breakdowns like "Competitor X launched a new AI course pricing at $299 - 40% below your current rate, targeting the same demographic."

It's like having a paranoid business analyst who never sleeps and actually understands what competitor moves mean for your business.

My take: Finally, competitor monitoring that doesn't require a PhD in detective work. Most tools just screenshot changes and leave you to figure out if it matters. This one actually thinks for you. Perfect for founders who are tired of learning about competitor launches from customer support tickets.

2. VeoSpark - Stop Wasting 30 Generations on Broken Video Ads

VeoSpark solves the biggest headache with Google's Veo 3 - disconnected scenes that force you to waste 30+ generations. It creates complete viral ad scripts and lets you continue from specific frames using production-quality prompt templates.

Think of it as having a video director who understands AI's quirks and plans your shots accordingly.

My take: Anyone who's tried making AI videos knows the pain of getting beautiful individual clips that don't connect. This fixes the most annoying part of AI video creation. Essential if you're creating ads at scale and tired of manually stitching disconnected scenes.

3. Kuse.ai - If ChatGPT and Figma Had a Smart Baby

Kuse combines ChatGPT, Notion, and whiteboard functionality on a visual canvas where you can upload files, web pages, videos and chat with them all at once.

I uploaded some competitor research PDFs, some YouTube videos, and web articles, then asked "What's missing from our curriculum?" The AI connected insights across all sources and gave me specific gaps we hadn't noticed.

Over 400 teams and 200,000 users are already using it, and the founder went through Y Combinator, so they know how to build tools people actually want.

My take: This is what AI collaboration should feel like. Instead of jumping between ChatGPT for analysis, Notion for notes, and Figma for visuals, everything happens on one intelligent canvas. Game-changer for anyone doing research, strategy, or content planning who's tired of app-switching hell.

And now, back to becoming design-geeks using AI…

The Complete Claude + Canva Tutorial (That'll Save You 20+ Hours Weekly)

Alright, here's exactly how Riya (and now 500+ Growth School students) are creating viral visuals in minutes instead of hours.

Step 1: Get Your Arsenal Ready

First things first - you need the two tools:

  • Claude Pro subscription ($17/month) - The free version unfortunately won't cut it

  • Canva account (Free works, but Pro gives you superpowers)

Step 2: The 30-Second Setup

Here's where the magic happens:

  • Head to claude.ai (make sure you're logged into Pro)

  • Click the "Search & Tools" icon (looks like a search symbol)

  • Hit "Add Connectors"

  • Scroll down until you see Canva

  • Click "+" and authenticate your Canva account

That's it. No coding. No complicated API setups. Just click and connect.

Step 3: The Prompt Magic

This is the a simple one line prompt I used to make a Linkedin post template:

‘Can you design a template for a carousel post for Linkedin where I want to talk about how to use Claude with Canva. I want 5 slides.’

What happens next? Claude doesn't just design it. It:

  • Generates the visual layout and template (with multiple options)

  • Writes the copy

  • Creates it in your Canva workspace

  • Gives you the direct link to edit/download

Within a few seconds, I had multiple editable options to choose from:

After a few iterations, I liked one of them and asked Claude to design the entire carousel post.

And in the next few seconds, I had everything ready:

Step 4: Customise it on Canva

Once you've got one killer post template, you can use the Canva link to simply add your brand elements (brand elements, profile pictures, logo) and you are ready to go.

Here’s the first image from the carousel I created:

Looks cool right?

Step 5: The Advanced Moves

Here's what separates the pros from the amateurs:

Brand Consistency Hack: After your first design, tell Claude: "Remember these brand guidelines for all future designs: [LIST YOUR COLORS, FONTS, STYLE]"

Batch Creation: "Create 7 Instagram posts for the week, all about AI productivity tips. Use the same design template but different colors for each day."

Content Repurposing: "Take my latest LinkedIn article [PASTE LINK] and create 3 different social media designs from it - one for Instagram, one for Twitter, one for LinkedIn."

After implementing this system:

The One Thing Most People Get Wrong

They treat this like a design tool.

It's not. It's a thinking partner that happens to design.

The real power comes from Claude understanding your brand, your audience, and your goals - then translating that into visuals that actually convert.
