WHAT IS THIS AGENT
IF the above is you too, welcome to today’s edition on WTF is GPT AGENT
Today is all about what it is and how you can use it.
My team and I do an off-site every year. And planning it is a pain…
I mean tickets, itinerary, staying, food, going out.
And we’re a lot of people. 100s. And a lot of them are Coldplay fans.
I gave it a test. Currently the hardest thing on my to-do list: planning a company off-site to a Coldplay concert.
Eleven people, decided budget, flights, and multiple moving parts. And ensuring that people don’t go overboard with partying (iykyk)
So since no one in my team was ready to volunteer to organize it.
I handed it to the “agent” at 10 AM on Monday, and went to get a coffee.
By 10:15 AM, I had a complete corporate travel plan. And I’ll show you how it turned out.
But the amount of delegation you can do with this is incredible. Want to analyse the best stocks for investment based on 5 filters? Possible.
Wanna hire people from your LinkedIn network without opening Linkedin? Also, possible.
Need your e-mails prioritised, drafted and scheduled? Well…you get the drift I guess.
The process is pretty simple…and yes I have a tutorial for you.
Before that, a Quick poll:
Should I actually take my team to Coldplay using this AI-generated plan? Like, literally book everything the AI suggested? |
I'm weirdly tempted to just send the team the itinerary and witness the chaos.
Talking of chaos, let's look at what happened this week in the world of AI
1. Checklist Genie - The Voice-Powered List Maker
Finally, a way to create checklists without typing on your phone screen. You can just speak your thoughts or snap a photo of your messy notes, and AI turns it into a proper, shareable checklist. This is for those "Oh crap, I need to remember 15 things" moments.
And for people who think better out loud, team leaders who need to delegate tasks quickly, and anyone whose to-do lists usually look like they were written during an earthquake.
2. Runway - A Hiring Tool That Actually Gets Your Priorities
This AI tool lets you define exactly what matters for your specific position, upload up to 50 resumes, and get candidates ranked based on what you actually care about. One of the cleanest UI I have seen in a while. No sign up and stuff, just business.
Ever thought "Why did the system rank this candidate first? Yes, me too. I think it's a great tool for HR managers who know their role requirements better than any ATS.
3. Snack Prompt - The Reddit for ChatGPT Prompts
If you are obsessed about crafting perfect prompts like me, this one is for you. A community platform where people share and upvote the best ChatGPT prompts they've discovered. You can see what's actually working for other people and find the day's best prompts right inside ChatGPT.
Super useful for anyone tired of getting mediocre results from ChatGPT, prompt engineers, and people who prefer learning from what works rather than reinventing the wheel.
Instead of theory, let me show you exactly how to use ChatGPT Agent for complex planning tasks.
What we're building: An AI agent that can plan complete trips, events, or projects with multiple variable factors to consider.
Step 1: Access Your AI Planning Assistant
Open ChatGPT (Pro, Plus, or Team account required)
Select "Agent Mode" from the tools menu or type "/agent"
You now have access to an AI that can control browsers, research, and coordinate across platforms
Step 2: Frame Your Planning Challenge
Be comprehensive but clear about what you need. Here’s the prompt I used:
Step 3: Watch the Magic Happen
ChatGPT Agent will automatically:
Research flight prices and travel options
Create comprehensive comparisons and alternatives
Find the available coldplay tickets
Identify the best travel plan for you
Step 4: Get Detailed Results
Within 10-15 minutes, you'll receive:
Travel Options: Multiple flight options along with fare and other details
Concert Details: Multiple listings of various upcoming coldplay concerts
Complete Itinerary: A detailed schedule optimized for your timeline, with coordinated flights and concert dates.
Step 5: Refine and Customize
Ask follow-up questions to perfect your plan:
"Can you find budget-friendly accommodation options as well?"
"Add team-building activities to the itinerary"
"Find restaurants within walking distance of the concert"
Step 6: Let AI Handle the Bookings
Here's where things get crazier. ChatGPT Agent can:
Book flights with correct passenger details (no more triple-checking spellings)
Reserve hotel rooms and handle group bookings
Make restaurant reservations for your exact party size
Purchase Coldplay tickets and coordinate timing
Can connect to your gmail to send the tickets to everyone.
No more booking anxiety about entering wrong birthdays or misspelled names.
A Few Pro Tips:
Ask for alternatives: Always request 2-3 options for each component so you have backup plans.
Think comprehensively: Ask for complete packages rather than individual components for better coordination.
Use follow-up prompts: Refine details after getting the initial plan. AI learns from your preferences.
Cross-reference critical details: While AI is excellent at research, double-check important bookings and pricing.
While traditional chatbots give you information when you ask specific questions, AI Agents complete entire workflows while you focus on other things.
It's simply about delegating entire categories of work that humans find tedious but AI handles effortlessly.
Until next time,
Vaibhav ✌️
P.S. - Seriously though, vote on the Coldplay trip thing. If enough people say yes, I might actually do it and document the whole experiment. What could go wrong?
