Gpt5 code prompts

And OpenAI listened to y’all!

Poll: Do you think you can code using AI?

Also, I got a lot of replies (surprisingly) about missing 4o and asking if there’s a way to get access back.

This happened because the auto-router that decides which model to use for your prompt completely broke, making GPT-5 seem "way dumber" than it actually was.

And OpenAI listened to y’all!

Go to settings -> general -> enable legacy model and boom:

Before I reveal how you can code like a pro with GPT-5, let’s look at the cool stuff from the AI world

AI that’s trending:

3 AI tools that made me stop scrolling:

1. Veltos AI - From Idea to Playable Game in Minutes

Veltos lets you create entire 3D games using just text prompts: no coding, no complex game engines, just describe what you want and watch it come to life. Tell it "create a space exploration game with alien planets" and you get a fully interactive 3D world you can actually play.

The best part? We're talking proper 3D environments with physics, gameplay mechanics, and everything you'd expect from a real game, generated in minutes instead of months.

My take: I think this is perfect for indie developers, storytellers, or anyone who's had game ideas but got stuck on the technical hurdles. It's still early days, but the potential is insane. Imagine prototyping your next big game idea over lunch.

2. Hera Video - Motion Graphics That Don't Take 5 Hours

Hera turns the tedious 5-hour motion graphics projects into 5-minute tasks using AI. Instead of wrestling with After Effects and manually animating every element, you describe what you want and get professional-quality motion graphics with charts, text animations, and smooth transitions.

The founders built this after spending thousands weekly on motion designers for YouTube channels Their eureka moment? They realized 95% of motion design time is clicking buttons, not actual creative work.

My take: This could be a game-changer for content creators, marketers, and small businesses who need professional motion graphics but can't afford the time or budget. If you've ever needed animated charts, logo reveals, or text effects for videos, this could save you hours and hundreds of dollars per project.

3. Yummery - The Meal Planner That Actually Gets You

Yummery uses AI to generate personalized meal plans in seconds based on your goals (weight loss, muscle gain, healthy eating), dietary restrictions, and food preferences. It calculates your daily calorie targets, suggests recipes you'll actually want to eat, and creates smart grocery lists automatically.

The AI learns your taste preferences over time, so you stop getting the same boring chicken and rice suggestions every week. Plus it tracks nutrition, water intake, and lets you add your own family recipes.

My take: Most meal planning apps are either too rigid or too complicated. This one actually adapts to how you eat in real life. If you're tired of spending mental energy figuring out what to cook while trying to stay healthy, this handles the thinking so you can focus on the eating.

How to use GPT-5 for code without being a techie

Vaibhav, I do not know programming languages…where will be host the app?

Do I need to buy a database? If you are wondering about all of this, relax.

GPT-5 takes care of it. All of it.

Here's the exact process I use to build working applications:

Step 1: Start with the right prompt

Most people get this backwards. They think "I need an app" instead of "I need to solve this specific problem."

The Right Prompt Framework: "I run a [business type] and I need to [specific task] because [current pain point]. I want something that [desired outcome] without [current frustration]."

Free app. Monetise through ads.

No Payment option?

The prompt: App Name: FriendSwitch Tagline: Pick your perfect listener for the mood you’re in Core Idea You choose the type of “friend” you want to talk to — each with their own personality, tone, and style — and have a real-time text or voice-like conversation that feels natural and fun. No mention of “therapy,” it’s just “chatting with a friend who gets it.” How It Works Pick Your Friend Personality The Chill One: listens quietly, drops short affirmations, keeps you calm. The Problem Solver: asks structured questions, helps you figure next steps. The Hype Friend: full of energy, builds you up, makes you feel unstoppable. The Truth Teller: gives you blunt honesty, no sugarcoating. The Comedian: turns everything into light jokes, distracts you from stress. Pick the Conversation Goal Venting without being judged Brainstorming solutions Laughing about a bad day Talking through a decision Reminiscing and feeling good Start the Chat All interactions happen in a simple, offline-capable chat UI. You type or tap quick-response buttons. The “friend” replies in their own style, based on your inputs. Why It Works People want an instant mood match in a conversation without worrying about burdening real friends. Removing the “therapy” label makes it approachable for those who’d never book an actual counselor. Works well in India where stigma around mental health still exists, but “talking to a friend” is normal. Monetisation Free version: Limited friend templates + daily chat limit.

Monetise it in reality? Just add google ad sense and monetise the traffic.

If you know a bit of coding. And can integrate payments then try this:

Prompt: “Create a Digital Sticker & Template Shop What it does: Sells WhatsApp sticker packs, Instagram story templates, and festival greeting packs. Backend-light approach: All assets stored in the app or downloadable (make the assets yourself for all events from August to October 2025). Payments handled via UPI or Razorpay checkout link (make a random qr code for UPI for now) Monetization: ₹10–₹50 per pack, occasional bundle offers. Why it works in India: People love personalized, festive, and regional-language designs. now make this web app and ensure it's massy and fun to use”

This is what it made (incl the sticker)

Disclaimer: for payments to work, you would have to link your razorpay / stripe account to ensure there’s a confirmation of payment before people can download

After this app, I also built a tetris game for my nephew. It took less than 5 minutes.

The prompt:

The result:

He is hooked on the game! And you can monetise this through ad sense too.

Pro Tips for Non-Techies

Start Small, Think Big

Build the simplest version that solves your immediate problem. You can always add features later.

Use Natural Language

Talk to GPT-5 like you're explaining the problem to a smart friend. "I need a way to..." works better than technical specifications.

Ask for Mobile-Friendly Design

Always request: "Make sure this works well on phones." Most people will use your app on mobile.

Request Error Handling

Ask GPT-5 to "add error messages when something goes wrong so users know what to do."

Get Multiple Versions

Try: "Show me 3 different ways to solve this problem" to see various approaches.

What You Can Build (Real Use-cases)

The Limitations (For Now)

GPT-5 is amazing for simple, focused applications. It's not going to build the next Instagram or handle complex integrations with banking systems.

As of now…it is:

Good for: Single-purpose tools, personal productivity apps, small business solutions

Not good for: Complex social networks, e-commerce platforms with payments, apps requiring user accounts

Until next time,
Vaibhav 🤝
